My personal message:

You lot are fantabulous!   thank you so much.  I set myself a target of £1,000 pounds, not expecting that much really....thinking, what the heck, even if I get round the course I will be happy. 
But,  friends, family and collegues;  I did both.  I am thrilled to bits! to have got round the course, 1 hour and 10 minutes and manage to exceed the target I set also
