My story

 
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

As many of you know, my friend Laura Case died while she was in Uganda on her medical elective last year.  I was planning to compete in the Ironman 70.3 2009 in her memory, raising money for The Laura Case Trust, which her parents and friends set up to celebrate her life and support projects she would have felt strongly about.

However, I have unfortunately had to pull out due to an injury to my knee, that I've just had operated on.  I hope those of you who have already donated don't mind me changing the nature of my event and anyone who hasn't, please do!  I plan to compete in either a similar event later this year or a long distance swim of 10 miles in September.  The page has been extended to the end of the year so I still hope to make my target!  Once I've confirmed my entry into one of these then I shall update this page.  I believe it will be equally challenging and therefore hope for your support.
