To help and support heart and lung transplant patients of the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne both financially and by providing facilities for recreation to enable them to improve their condition. Also to educate the public of the need for organ donation.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This year is my 5th after my transplant and to celebrate I want to raise money for the Freeman Hospital. My plan is to complete a 9 day charity trek in Iceland (country not the shop!) to raise  funds.  The trek involves joining 29 other people trekking and camping around the volcanic areas. Hopefully I won't need more help from the Freeman on my return and they can use our donations towards research, equipment and training for their dedicated staff. Thank you so much to all who have already sponsored. The donation means so much more more than pounds and pence. The trip will I hope be a tribute to those who have donated organs to help others and a demonstration of what those who have had a transplant can achieve!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant Associaiton gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
