The charity raises money for two p[urposes. 1) To fund the training of NHS staff in Manual Lymphatic Drainage to alleviate the symptons of lymphoedema. 2) To fund the training of NHS staff and promote the use of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) in the relief of pain and stress.

Story

We made it - well at least some of us!  An enthusiastic group set out in the worst weather we've ever known for july - horizontal driving rain for most of the 5 and 1/2 hour walk.  2/3 of the way up we had to split and the younger ones went down whilst the rest made it for a rain-soaked very tearful hug in Nancy's memory.  We all know that Nancy would have been in the Beddgelert tea shop wondering what the heck we were doing!

Many thanks to all who have generously sponsored us.

We are a group of 4 families who are hoping to raise money to support a great charity in the name of a very dear friend. One of each of the families trained at medical school with Nancy who tragically died from breast cancer last year.

Before her death her dream was to set up a holistic centre for patients suffering from cancer.  As a result her parents have set up 'The Nancy Salmon Trust' in her memory.  All the money raised is going towards financing training for NHS staff in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Emotional Freedom Technique both of which Nancy herself had found so helpful in her battle with cancer.

So, on July 10th, 8 adults and 11 children aged between 4 and 14 will be hoping to climb to the top of Snowdon in her memory.  We spent many a happy time in North Wales whilst at medical school be it walking in the hills, climbing at Tremadog or having a cup of tea at the Beddgelert Tea Shop so it seemed a fitting way to pay tribute and to hopefully raise money in the process.
