Suzy and Mike are running the Bristol Half Marathon on 6th September 2009. It started out as a way to keep motivated to go out running regulary and has proved to be an expensive way of doing just that. A trip to the obligatory running shoe shop where they make you run up and down the street outside, (very embarassing, especially when your 4 year old does it faster then you - see picture left, she is a natural), and then they tell you that you have weak bum muscles, lightens your wallet and makes you feel that you need to keep running.

 

Training has gone from very well to not very well to stopping (sprained ankle and lazyness) and is now firmly back on course, 6 weeks to go and it is looming all to large on the horizon and no amount of cholcolate puddings or rain is going to stop us.

 

We decided that if we were going to do the run we should also see if we can raise some money in the process. We have chosen the charity unseen(uk) it is a newly established, start up charity based in Bristol. unseen's main concern is to disrupt human trafficking on all levels. unseen's specific focus is to combat the trafficking of women for sexual exploitation. Any money you feel you can spare would be great and if nothing else we will post some race photos which should be worth the money alone.
