The children of Yirgaalem walk 3 miles to school every day, often without shoes or coats. On Thursday 14 July, the children of Sutton Valence Preparatory School will be walking 3 miles, through the Kent countryside, to raise money for our friends in Ethiopia. Everyone from Reception to Year 6 will be taking part!
The Yirgaalem Appeal Trust is a small local charity. Every penny raised goes straight to those who need it most - helping to house homeless children and give free education to a whole community!
The walk will mark the beginning of a link between SVPS and Abebech Feyissa Elementary School. This link will be developed through letter writing, emailing, care packages and further fundraising.
