Putting paid to contemporary ideas of ‘limits’ in more ways than one, the charity WORLDwrite aims to make a unique documentary on the life of an extraordinary ballet dancer Ian Archer-Watters. Thirty young adults will learn all aspects of film making and discuss the issues involved during the making of this film but the charity needs your support to make this possible.
Ian Archer-Watters surpasses prescribed male roles in classical ballet and dances en pointe. His life story and performances inspire us to realise all is possible despite accepted 'social norms' and 'rules'. The film promises to be both challenging and educative in its content and in the making of it.
The film will be volunteer made and produced yet to professional broadcast standards. We need to raise £10,000 to cover equipment, tutors, studio costs, volunteer travel and editing costs. In the world of film this is peanuts but for our charity this is a big ask and the minimum to pull off a great film. The film will provide more than just a beautiful story, conveying many lessons for the world to watch and take on board.
The film will be entitled ''Swansong' as Ian reaches an age when he must finally hang up his shoes. All donations will be credited at the end of this unique film.
A glimpse of Ian performing at the Charity's Gala night may be viewed on this page.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate, as we will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added at no cost to you.
We look forward to hearing from you and to making this film as soon as we can!
Best wishes from all the WORLDwrite team.
