Story

Hello and thanks for visiting our page!

For some reason we've decided that running the London Marathon last year just wasn't enough and now we've got the marathon bug we've decided this year to run the Windermere Marathon on May 17th!

We'll be running again for the brilliant charity that is Carers UK!

Many carers give up their careers, their homes, their whole lives, in order to care for a loved one. They do this with little practical help or financial support and as a result, many are forced to live in poverty and poor health. The Government rewards them with only £50 to live on each week. Carers UK thinks this needs to change and are campaigning for a better deal for carers in the future, and informing carers about their rights and where they can go to get support now. It’s such an important cause and every donation is really appreciated, no matter how small.

To find out more about Carers UK go to www.carersuk.org.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Carers UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
