Sean, Abby, Donald, Caroline, David and Angela are taking part in the Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland Canal Cycle Challenge and Duathlon to raise money for CHSS and for the South West Edinburgh Canoe Club. The SW Edinburgh Canoe Club has been running since 2007 on the Union Canal. It provides canoeing opportunities for communities from South West Edinburgh, including Wester Hailes, the Calders, Broomhouse and Sighthill. The club has been developed in partnership with Re-Union Canal Boats, Prospect Community Housing and Set in Motion. Money raised from this event will go towards developing the club - purchasing a storage container for canoes, buying kit and equipment, and enabling members to gain more skills and experience.
