Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Read on for update of my swim.
For the second year I am taking part in the Great North Swim (1 mile across Lake Windermere) which ironically seems more nerve wracking than last year when ignorance was bliss. The water is so very cold and quite scary and my imagination is running wild at what might be tickling my feet on the 'slow' bits!
To anyone who doesn't know the plight of the bears, please do visit www.animalsasia.org and be part of the change.
The animals need our help and we can stop the suffering, so long as we support the great work that was founded by Jill Robinson who continues to campaign around the world. As well as the bears AAF also campaign to promote dogs and cats as friends....not food (see website for more about this).
Every amount helps, no matter how small. THANK YOU. Or why not sponsor a bear at your school or workplace? (see website).
After the swim I will update this page to let you know how it went.
UPDATE!!! Well I finished, although a few minutes in to it, the panic started as the water took my breath away, but a few stern words later to the demons in my head and I eventually settled down. Hard going, cold but truly an amazing experience and so pleased to finish.
THANK YOU EVERYONE who has sponsored me, you have all made it very worthwhile.
