This summer Megan and Pam will attempt an open sea swim from Raasay to Skye to raise funds for local charity Lucky2BHere.  We will be undertaking this challenge on Saturday 25th June and will swim from Inver on Raasay to Portree on Skye, which is a distance of 4 miles.  We hope not to encounter any basking sharks...or jellyfish...or nuclear submarines...!  Please take a moment and watch the video on this page - it was filmed on the 15th January 2011 in Portree harbour by the award winning Donnie "Spielberg" Nicolson!

 

Lucky2BHere is all about saving lives by placing lifesaving medical equipment in rural areas where Heartstart teams deliver Emergency Life Support (ELS) and defibrillator training.  This empowers local communities to manage their own situations from the time a life threatening incident arises until the medical professionals arrive.  Lucky2BHere, supported by Chest,Heart and Stroke Scotland, is also a driving force in campaigning for training of all secondary school pupils in Scotland in basic life-saving techniques as part of the school curriculum.
