Story

                           AFC (H) - SWIM 4 SOLDIERS – 29 APR 2010

All Money raised is for the Army Benevolant Fund (the soldiers Charity) - 65 years, the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF) has worked tirelessly to provide support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need.  The people we support include those with disabilities (due to operational injuries) or mental illness, people experiencing homelessness or unemployment, and older people.

All Donations are via:  http://www.justgiving.com/swim4soldiers  Target is to raise £3,000.

Join the AFC (H) on the 29/30 Apr 10 @ 0900hrs and support our event or, arrange a Charity Swimming Event of your own.  Money raised and donated by kind people should warrant the participants to be put to a maximum physical test!

Up to a maximum of 48 members (all volunteers) of the college will be selected for this tough and challenging event, there will be a number of training session leading upto the event.  There will be a maximum of 12 teams; each team will consist of 4 members with 1 swimmer per team in the water at any one time (swimming at a maximal effort)!  Each participant will swim for a minimum of 6 hours.  This will require effort, determination and commitment which we hope will warrant a donation to help our injured soldiers.

Please support this charitable event and then either email or pass the details to all your friends.

Your continual support is greatly appreciated.  Thank you all so much.
