Pen y Fan walk · 12 August 2012

Sands supports anyone affected by the death of a baby, works in partnership with health professionals to try to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care and funds research that could help to reduce the numbers of babies dying and families devastated by this tragedy.

Story

Young men and leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Swindon) walked up Pen y Fan, the highest peak in Southern Britain, on April 13th in aid of SANDS, the charity supporting families experiencing a stillbirth or neonatal death.

Despite strong winds gusting between 50-60mph and severe rainfall, a great spirit prevailed and all completed the course, clothed in their onesies ! Please click on the pictures below for more details.

The young men who took part were Zac Brown, Dan Carmichael, Peter Milburn, Elliot Smith, James Taylor, and Ethan & Micah Thomas. Leaders who took part were Jamie Balloch, Adi Brooke, Andrew Brown, John Carmichael, Paul Culbert, and George Mukomba.

Close friends and family have had reason to use this charity so we feel it appropriate to raise futher funds to help the charity, which has greatly helped those close to us.
