Wiltshire 100

The Wiltshire 100 · 8 September 2013
In September 2012 I took part in my first cycling event - 26 miles on flat ground - and I thought that was hard! It does not even compare to the challenge I have set myself (and Nezzy my bike) for this September. A 100 mile cycle which I have chosen to take part in, in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research - the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of patients with all types of blood cancer, including leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
This is the charity I first rode for back in September 2012, and this year it becomes even more poignant with a close family friend recently being diagnosed and undergoing treatment for Leukaemia. Aside from this blood cancer is something that has touched the lives of many in one way or another, and this charities research focuses on finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments and running clinical trials for all blood cancer patients.
Whilst the challenge ahead for me is going to be tough and gruelling, it is nothing compared to the treatment regimes that patients go through and I hope that the money I raise can aid those with Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma.
This is a cause that is very close to my heart, and I hope that you will dig deep and help me raise money for an incredible charity that does incredible work.
Love, Tam xxx
