Story
Myself & Clive Weston, with support of Sarah Stewart, cycled 3 ascents & descents of the mountain Mont Ventoux, France. We had very unfavourable weather conditions, with rain & low cloud all day! It was 1deg at the top of each climb and only breifly up to 12deg at the bottom one of the descents! We had to stamp our card at the top & bottom of each climb. Clive and I survived the very cold downhill temperatures to cope with the 3 long uphill climbs to complete all in 7.5hrs!
Myself and Jon Grundy have completed an epic swim of 42.2km in open water (with wetsuits). We chose Lake Windermere as our venue (living close to the lake district), and required us to swim 2.5lengths of the lake. I had chosen a marathon, as my final challenge is a marathon running with my dad.
I decided to attempt 5 Challenges in the year of 2013 to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer. My Dad is a survivor and is very active with the charity, so it is time for me to help. My first Challenge is one which has sparked this fund raising campaign.
Challenges 1 & 2 are more personal challenges for fun as everybody laughed when I told them my thoughts!
