Story

Welcome to the fundraising page for the Ramshackle Rallies Team Tommy Tank! (we were the penguins of the Apocalypse in 2008 and Jamaican bacon in 2009)

The team consists of Matt Goodman, Neil  Gwinnutt, Pete  Bardell and Rick Aldrige.

Ramshackle is the epitome of absurdity. The willing participants must place their trust in a hundred and fifty quid's worth of scrap metal and set off on an epic banger rally covering 1500 miles (double for us as we're driving back too). One hundred teams will compete in what promises to be the craziest banger rally on the European circuit before joining in with 40,000 others lobbing squashed tomato's at each other. The rally takes place in late August 2010

The rally lasts for four days as teams compete in the daily challenges to score points and simply put the team with the most points at the end of it all is the winner.

We start in Calais in France before heading south taking in Annecy, San Remo, Perpignan and finally ending up in Valencia. That's around 1500 miles through, and there are always a few surprises! We then turn around and drive back again!!

Our weapon of choice is a 1994 Omega 2.0 16v GLS bought on E-bay with no tax, no MOT and a running/starting problem for exactly £150 - Nice!! See the full build up of the car here...

2008 we dressed the car as a giant igloo and dressed as pengiuns, 2009 we covered the car in beercans and dressed as jamaicans, 2010 we are team Tommy tank - can you guess the theme??
