The past months have really taken my whole family by storm. Finding out I had breast cancer has changed so many things in my life....couldn't begin to list them all; but the Maggies Centre in Dundee has helped us adjust to these changes as well as prepare and support me through my operations, treatment as well as returning to normality when it is all finished.

Grahame and I have now done the Maggies Monster Bike and Hike 2011 Challenge and we have raised a staggering amount of money...thanks to you!  (Maggie’s Monster Bike and Hike is a 24-hour fundraising team challenge. The event goes from Fort William through to Inverness covering 73 miles along the Great Glen Way).

I started Radiotherapy mid March, and the travelling through to Ninewells Hospital everyday for treatment was exhausting, however it was a walk in the park compared to the chemo. I was lucky enough to have travel provided for me every day by my wonderful friends and family, and for that I am very grateful. So my treatment is finished, we have done the Monster event and I am now just recovering and trying to build up my strength. My hair is starting to grow back - I am still at that 'convict' looking stage, my appetite is definitely back and food tastes wonderful! Besides the tiredness....life is good!
