I am delighted that after a long year in the making Jo and I have finally established and launched HOPE  www.hopeforcambodia.org.uk

The Two Towers trip  by bike will take just over 3 days, covering some 330km/220 miles leaving the Tower of London on 14th September and arriving at the Eiffel Tower on Wednesday 17th.

Cycling was a major part of my experience in Cambodia, cycling anything up to an hour to get to one of the schools I was teaching at.  The main challenges being the heat, the dust and the dire road conditions.  The huge reward being plenty of "hellos" along the way and lots of eager smiling students at my destination. 

It was an enormous privilege to have had the opportunity to meet the wonderful children of Cambodia and make a small difference to their lives.  They made a huge difference to mine and in return I felt a long distance sponsored cycle was the most appropriate way to launch HOPE's fund-raising efforts.
