ME is a neurological disorder that presents with a myriad of symptoms, and prevents many sufferers from working or taking part in a 'normal' social life, yet there is little known about what causes it or it's symptoms, and no real treatments to control or cure it. currently sufferers are offered symptom relief from various medications (where these are available) and/or counselling.

I am hoping to raise funds for IiME (Invest in ME: http://www.investinme.org/), a independent UK charity that campaigns for bio-medical research into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, as defined by WHO-ICD-10-G93.3. As such I am part of the team Walk for ME team, http://www.justgiving.com/teams/walkforme

Due to my own health problems I may not be able to walk that week. If that is the case I will find someone else to walk on my behalf, or will do it at another time.
