Story

About the Challenge

Starting on 25th July a team of 9 will cycle 250 miles from Holyhead to Cardiff in just four days. As you would expect when crossing this is not a flat route. Day 1 is from Holyhead to Dolgellau (via Caernarfon) which is about 94 miles and will be around 12 hours in the saddle following a combination of cycle paths, off road trails and roads. Day 2 is from Dolgellau to Llanidloes (via Machynlleth) which is approximately 41 miles. This stretch is extremely hilly and will be between 6 and 8 hours in the saddle. Day 3 is about 65 miles from Llanidloes to Brecon via Builth Wells and is about 7 hours in the saddle. At this point the team will be wondering if saddle will ever be removed from their bodies without surgery. The last day is from Brecon to Cardiff Bay and will be about 6 hours in the saddle for the 55 miles to the finish.
