Four fans of the Scottish national football team are walking just under 500 miles in 22 days, from one Scotland World Cup Qualifier to the next. We aim to raise £5000 to be split evenly between the Scottish Football Association’s nominated charities, Tartan Army Children’s Charity (TACC) and the Scottish Huntington’s Association.
13th August 2009, the day after Norway v Scotland, we leave Oslo for Stavanger, and walk about 280 miles across Norway in 15 days. We fly to Aberdeen on 28th August before walking south to Glasgow through Perth in time for Scotland v Macedonia on 5th September. The route is approximately 440 miles long including 58,000 feet of climbing.
We are inviting anyone who is interested to join the marchers on 5th September for the approach to Hampden through Glasgow, where they’ll be led by a piper and possibly the odd Scottish footballing notable.
