What would an alien passing by think about our planet? An inviting blue world? But land and you see a different picture. While some have lavish swimming pools in their garden, ice-making machines and walk-in showers others live on parched land and every day is a chore walking miles just to fill a meagre jug to meet all their needs, others still make do with dirty, infected supplies.

WaterAid uses practical solutions to provide clean water, safe sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.
