Story
My friend Karl Heitman was just diagnosed with Stage II Hodgkin's Lymphoma in October. We were seminary brothers, and he is a faithful husband, father, pastor, and Air Force chaplain.
In honour of Karl, I am competing in the World Triathlon Championships this summer. The race is July 12, 2016 in Leeds, England. This will be my first Olympic-distance triathlon, so I'm training hard to do my best, whilst still balancing family, PhD, work, and ministry.
I'm racing to raise money for the UK charity Bloodwise. Any money raised goes directly to support their fight against blood cancer, including leukaemia and lymphoma research. I need to raise £200 to race, but £400 is my target.
Please donate! Even just £1 (that's about $1.50 my USA friends) will make a huge difference of people like Karl and their families and friends, and be a visible demonstration of compassion!
