My story

The Tropic of Cancer for Cancer Challenge (TCC Challenge) is a mammoth test of strength and determination, proving that post cancer, you can be stronger and achieve more than you ever thought was possible before.

I want to provide hope and positivity to the millions of people living with the effects of cancer be it a victim, a relative, a loved one, a medical professional or someone just inspired to make a difference.

Travelling by bicycle, my brother and I will cover 11,000 miles spanning a period of 9 months, travelling an average distance of 50 miles a day. Please see our website for more information www.tccchallenge.co.uk

Leaving from the Bank of England on 9th October 2009, the TCC Challenge will encounter some of the toughest conditions on the planet; from the extreme heat and sandstorms in the Sahara to the icy cold winds the Himalayas to the hurricanes which barrage the Gulf of Mexico.

The challenge will finish in Havana, in time for the summer solstice 2010, the longest day of the year symbolising the long and prosperous life that can be lived after cancer.

Please support the TCC Challenge, every penny of your money will go directly to the cause and your pledges will have a great positive impact on those people living with the effects of cancer.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure it’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the cancer charities we are supporting will get your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement are added to your donation.

The charities we are supporting are Macmillan Cancer Support, Orchid, Starlight and Willow Foundation.
