This concert is raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The concert features some of the best professional musicians in the South West, all giving their time and talent for free. If this was a festival line-up you would be paying big money to get in. We had a fantastic day doing this for the first time two years ago, so please come and join us this time around and help make it even bigger and better!
Amongst those appearing will be...
ELLINGTONIA...the spectacular 9 piece band dedicated to the Duke's music. They've played at festivals all over the place and in 2008 were privileged to be joined in concert by surviving members of the Ellington Orchestra.
EL COJONES...the South West's best rock band, irreverent, entertaining and badly-behaved.
JOYCE GANG...this trio has played everywhere from Edinburgh to Stockholm to Dave's back garden. Brilliant musicianship, top song-writing, folk as you've never heard it before.
SHAKING GROUND...showcasing the wonderful songwriting talents of Jon Aspray and the virtuoso melodeon of Paul Wilson, a real one-off appearance.
LOUNGE LIZARDS...Annika from Ellingtonia in a more intimate setting featuring Mr Fingers, Peter Whittle.
DAVE WOOD...a fixture on the folk/roots circuit for many years, Dave is hugely respected for his delicate singing, beautiful songs and unique guitar style.
PAUL DOWNES...on the road for thirty five years, Paul has played with a who's who of musicians and musicians from Pete Seeger to Richard Thompson and of course Show of Hands. A brilliant solo performer.
THE AMAZING MR SMITH...nationally known for his eye-watering comedy cabaret, Derek Smith is also a superb guitarist, crossing genres and styles with ease and panache.
CHRIS HOLLAND...the South West's No.1 didgeridoo specialist.
CHESHIRE UKULELE TRIO...the humble ukulele is having a real renaissance at the moment..you'll know why when you hear this group from Up North.
JEFF LEWIS...will be bringing friends and top quality performers from the hugely successful Exmouth folk club
COLATON RALEIGH VILLAGE BAND...the first ever performance!...we have a lot of musical talent of all ages here in the village and it all comes together here.
MUSICIANS from OTTERTON SCHOOL.. they love performing at Otterton School and they've been practising hard to entertain you.
