Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in July 2011. I had a full hysterectomy and some chemotherapy. There was no evidence of new disease for 2 years but then it spread to my lymph nodes and the surface of my bowel.

In November 2013 I started chemotherapy again with Avastin. I stopped the chemotherapy after 4 cycles because it was making me feel ill and really depressed but it had stabilised the cancer. I am now on maintenance Avastin every three weeks this works differently to chemotherapy and I seem to be responding well to it.

After my first lot of treatment I did the Bupa Great Manchester Run for Target Ovarian Cancer so I decided to keep up the tradition and will be joining Team Target again on the 18 May. Last time I managed to raise £500 so let's see if we can smash that this time round.

You can also donate by texting as little as £1.00 by texting OCAM50  and the amount to 70070.

If you would like to follow my progress you can do so at tealrunner.blogspot.com.
