Teams SUMO for UK Youth

This year will see the second running of Team Sumo, and the second year of raising funds for a deserving charity whilst having fun! And this year we have increased in numbers to run two teams of five riders!

UK Youth is a National organisation helping young people to develop their potential. They have a residential centre in the New Forest called Avon Tyrell.

We are raising funds specifically for cycling at Avon Tyrell. Over the past few years they have raised funds for, and built a gravity track and some north shore, and want to further develop these areas as well as upgrade their bikes!

With ten riders in 2 teams, team SUMO are planning on having even more fun than in 2011! Our disco tent will be running every evening right through till we drop on Sunday night, and right through the race!

Oh, and I nearly forgot, just to make it a little more fun under those massive suits we will be riding singlespeed!

Team SUMO riders are Robin Knight, Ashley Denham, Allan Knight, Keith Whitten, Dean Johnson, Mark Mole, Mike Tomlinson, John Pike, Richard Pike and Richard Male. And we will be supported by our top DJ Craig Sherrard!
