Firstly - thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

As many of you reading this will know, in February 2009 Mark's mum (Sandra) passed away after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. In the last weeks prior to her passing, she was nursed at St Giles Hospice in Whittington.

I think the most recent figures on Cancer suggest that 1 in 3 of us will be affected by it in some way during our life-times.  It's those wonderful places such as St Giles, and the amazing people that work within them that enable both patients and relatives to get some rest bite during difficult times. But, like all voluntary organisations, they need our cash to enable them to continue the good work that they do.

So, in memory of Sandra and as a way of saying thank you to St Giles Hospice - Mark, Kelvin, Dave and Jeff (aka The Fonz) will by cycling the Coast to Coast route from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Sunderland between 2nd and 4th April.

No idea what awaits us:- we might to have take turns carrying Dave as he'll inevitably do no training; The Fonz will most likely cycle wearing only his shorts (spare a thought for the locals); we'll probably get lost somewhere, wish we'd never started, crash our bikes or generally cause some drama on the way - but it's all for a good cause and by jove we'll do it.

So, if you would like to help us on our way in whatever large or small way you can we would really appreciate it, and will make the task that bit more rewarding knowing that anything we can raise will go to a great cause.

Thanks again - team Tony Butler (why Tony Butler? - well for those of you West Midlands, old enough or sad enough to know who he is, you'll probably understand; for those of you who don't - "on yer bike mate").

Mark, Kelvin, Dave, Jeff.
