Thanks for visiting our fundraising page for this tough challenge.

At Ai, we heard about this challenge and thought it would be a great opportunity to show our individual and company support for this worthwhile cause. 

The challenge itself involves walking 25 miles in a day from Horton-in-Ribblesdale over the peaks of Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent in the Yorkshire Dales.  As if walking a marathon distance over muddy terrain isn't enough, the route includes over 5,700 feet of ascents so is a difficult prospect, even for the most conditioned walkers! 

Volunteers were sought among the senior management team, and Darren (a veteran of numerous half-marathons), Steve (a veteran of numerous pub-crawls & packs of Regal) and Julie (I'll say nowt) were the only people not imaginative enough to come up with a sustainable excuse.  Julie has roped Ross in to 'share the joy' and Steve's got Kyla and three of his dogs to come too!  Could be entertaining!

So Ai's intrepid threesome, with their respective other halves (Darren counts as two anyway) are now embarking on a rigorous training schedule involving avoiding kebab houses, drinking this thing called "fruit juice", and redefining their concept of 'five-a-day'.  It will be tough! :-) 

Seriously, though - we welcome this challenge and hope to contribute as much as possible to Motability's worthwhile cause.  We'll give it our all to complete the challenge and will be spurred on by any support you can give us by way of donations.  Our target is £2,500 and exceeding this would be awesome - so please do your bit!  (Eat a kebab for Steve, too!)
