Velindre Cancer Services provides treatment, care and support to patients and their families. Money raised by our fundraisers allows us to support projects over and above those provided by the NHS including ground breaking research, specialist equipment, nurses and staff training.

Story

You wonder sometimes what the world would be like if we didn’t have so many amazing charities doing such incredible work.

Climbing 19,300 feet up Kilimanjaro is going to be tough, so hard in fact that roughly a third of people who attempt it fail.  But what will keep us focussed as we train every day, and on the mountain itself, is that we’re doing it to raise money for lung cancer research.

15 former international rugby captains have accepted the challenge and “Team Hall” comprising former Welsh legend and British Lion Mike Hall plus three “civilians” Peter Knight, Paul Guy and Richard Crane have committed to raising £50,000 and now ask for your help in achieving this goal.  There are several ways you can help and any amount, big or small will be really appreciated – THANK YOU!
