Story
If you know me, you'll probably recall that I had a little tussle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma last summer. In August, while dressed as a native American to receive my chemo, I negotiated buying a bike with the idle thought of taking up cycling again when I'd told cancer to go and do one.
By September, I had managed to ride along the coast to Shoreham on the appropriately named Rasputin (Raspy to his pals) in spite of being pumped full of some rather unpleasant drugs AND a drizzly headwind.
I am now all clear.
But every year, too many people don't get to hear that their scans are good. I'd like you to help me try and improve chances for regular folk like me by supporting more research. For my part, I will ride a 40 miler through the Sussex Downs on May 19th, the Shoreham 'chemo route' the following weekend, ending in the 54 miles of the London to Brighton on June 16th. That's 100 miles maths fans.
You know the deal with JustGiving by now - and if you work please Gift Aid as it's free money off the government for good work.
Thank you for considering donating. I'll thank you even more if you actually do. Would it help if I paid you a compliment? Your hair REALLY suits you like that. *tilts head, imploringly*
