#TeamSarah is made up of the family and friends of 4 time Olympian Sarah Stevenson MBE. On Saturday 27 October '12 the ladies of #TeamSarah and Sarah herself are walking from Sarah's family home in Bentley, Doncaster to St John's Hospice in Tickhill, Doncaster, which is just under 5 miles, to raise money for the hospice who cared for her Mum during her last few days.

St John's Hospice has an inpatient unit and a specialist palliative daycare facility. It is surrounded by landscaped gardens and the aim is to create a homely, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The hospice offers comfort, peace of mind and spiritual wellbeing for people with a life-limiting illness. Staff provide holistic palliative care, which encompasses the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of patients. The hospice recognises that dying is a normal part of living and supports patients, families and carers to live each day to the full.
