This year Shine has secured places in the London Triathlon and the triathlon spirit has taken grip here at HQ with three of us agreeing to take part in the team event!

As fundraisers we have decided to practice what we preach and take on this challenge and raise over £1500 for Shine. 

We have entered the Olympic distance team relay which means we will be doing the following: 

·         1500m swim 

·         40km bike  

·         10km run

We are a (very) competitive bunch so the aim is to be the first ones over the finish line! 

Team members:

·         Andrew Ellis – Swimming – an open water swimming extraordinaire. So far he has practiced in the pool, but no stranger to a wetsuit, we are sure he will get us off to a good start.

·         Kathy Shaw - Cycling  

·         Robin Barnatt – Running – hoping to relive past glories, a recent 10km run in 47mins bodes well for victory. 

We are planning on setting up a training blog so keep your eyes peeled for details of how our preparations are going.
