This year myself and the RICS Leicestershire LA Committee will be participating in the Santa Run, Yes in Santa outfits in the aid of Emmaus Leicestershire & Rutland.The RICS Leicestershire and Rutland Matrics, together with the Committee we aim to achieve the target of £500.00 this year from the Fun Run.

Supporting our chosen local Emmaus Charity we're working together to end homelessness.

The first Emmaus opened in 1992 and there are now 29 communities, which is what we call our residential sites, spread across the UK. There are also five Emmaus groups currently working to open new communities.

Emmaus supports more than 815 formerly homeless people, by providing them with support, a home for as long as they need it and meaningful work and training in our social enterprises. We hope to increase our capacity to 1,000 rooms by 2020.

Emmaus (pronounced em-may-us) is a homelessness charity with a difference. They don’t just give people a bed for the night; also offer a home, meaningful work and a sense of belonging.

All donations are gratefully received to help support Emmaus in the quest to find solutions of employment and offer support to end homelessness
