In Memory of Avery Supporting Sands

In 2021, our world changed forever.

We lost our daughter, Avery, just one week before her due date. It’s something no parent should ever have to go through. In that unimaginable moment, Sands gave us something we’ll always be grateful for: time.

With their support, the hospital provided a cold cot. That cold cot gave us the chance to spend time with Avery. To hold her. To say hello and goodbye. To begin grieving with her by our side, not apart. That time was a gift and it wouldn’t have been possible without Sands.

Sands is the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity. They’re working to save babies’ lives, improve bereavement care, and support families like ours every single day.
