Story
Hi everyone,
I'm Andrew, and I'm one of many visually impaired and blind sailors who are passionate about sailing. We're excited to announce that we'll be doing a combined fundraiser to support Visa-GB, a charity that provides sailing opportunities for people with visual impairments.
We're planning to do a variety of fundraising events, including walking, climbing stairs, baking and selling cakes, swimming, and more! We're open to other ideas, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know.
Safety is our top priority, so we'll take all necessary precautions to ensure everyone involved is safe. For example, a buddy system will do the walking and stair-climbing events.
The money we raise will help Visa-GB:
Fund sailing courses and training
Provide essential equipment
Support members who may not be able to afford the outgoings of sailing trips
Your support is essential to helping Visa-GB continue to provide these vital services and make sailing accessible to people with visual impairments.
Please consider donating to our fundraiser and sharing it with your friends and family. Together, we can make a difference!
Thank you for your support!
The Visually Impaired Sailing Association (Visa-GB): This organization provides sailing experiences for visually impaired people. They are always looking for sponsors to help them cover the costs of their programs.
Fundraising also helps with purchasing replenishing equipment, like First Aid Kits, Food, and Water, Generally, there is cutlery & Plates on the yachts we charter, but occasionally we have to buy the odd plate or knives and forks etc. So the money you donate goes a very long way and we appreciate every penny.
