4 idiots in a boat vs 50km of water. What could possibly go wrong?

Basically, we're rowing from Lincoln to Boston in a coxed quad scull (4 girls, 8 oars, 1 angry man shouting) for what we think is probably the world's only rowing marathon. As we're putting ourselves through considerable pain we thought we may as well raise some money for a good cause.

One of my colleagues, Louise Atkinson, is currently showing cancer (and the world) what a lean, mean, cancer fighting machine she is. "Team Acko" will be taking part in a number of events to raise money for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and we're hoping to help them. Big thanks to my glorious crew (Maddie, Jane, Kath and Leif) for giving up an enormous amount of time to train hard and for agreeing to help Team Acko raise some money for a great cause.
