CARTEN 100 2015 · 9 May 2015 ·

Velindre Cancer Services provides treatment, care and support to patients and their families. Money raised by our fundraisers allows us to support projects over and above those provided by the NHS including ground breaking research, specialist equipment, nurses and staff training.

Story

On May 9th we will cycle 100 miles in one day, from Cardiff to Tenby as part of the annual Carten100 event.

Our Team ‘The Badly Wiggins':

Nic Jones, Cath Jones, Barrie Bowles, Holli Pritchard, Helen Evans, Guy Hooper & Mark Quick (Support Vehicle Driver)

We will be cycling to raise money for Velindre Cancer Centre. As a team we have all been affected by the disease in one way or another. Helping this centre really means a lot to us as some of our family members have recently received treatment here and cycling the 100 miles will enable us to give something back.

Any donations (however big or small) will be greatly appreciated - help us get up those hills to Tenby!

A little bit about Velindre…

Velindre Cancer Centre provides specialist cancer services to over 1.5 million people in South East Wales and beyond. They are one of the largest cancer centres in the UK.

They also carry out ground breaking research into a wide variety of areas affected by cancer - breast, bowel and lung to name a few.
