4 sober suited salesmen, 3 mountains in 3 countries and 24 hours for us to climb them………Why did we ever agree to do this? Andrew Brameld, Gary Lee, James Knight & Robert Hutchinson will be undertaking the 3 peaks in 24 hour challenge, commencing on Friday 9th May at approximately 4PM, finishing on Saturday 10th May at approximately 3.59PM! The first stop on our trek is Ben Nevis in Scotland. At 1344 metres this is the tallest & most challenging mountain. We then travel to Scafell Pike in the Lake District to climb the smallest of the 3 peaks at 978 metres, finishing off at Mount Snowdon in Wales – 1085 metres. It will undoubtedly be the toughest challenge of our lives. This event is ideal for aged 20 something youngsters, but will be demanding for middle aged men of dubious fitness. Andrew is warming up by running the London Marathon a few weeks before the event. Gary & Rob are trying to increase their gym intensity to get them through the ordeal. James has really taken it seriously by cutting down on cigarettes to 30 a day and shedding 2 stone in weight in the process! The charity we are supporting is Alzheimers, so any money you contribute is very much needed no matter how small.
