Story

On the 19th of July Bee, Lucy and Tadpole are setting off into the unknown for the biggest adventure of their lives so far - and maybe their last!

The challenge: Drive 10,000 miles from Hyde Park to Ulanbator, Mongolia's capital.
The Vehicle: Tadpole - our trusty 13yr old Ford Fiesta

The Countries: France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgystan, Kazahkstan, Russia, Mongolia - the sensible short route of course!

The Cause: By taking part in the rally we are supporting charities who we feel are doing very valuable work in some of the countries we are visiting en-route.

Your donations go to aid the work SWORDE-Teppa are doing in Tajikistan, helping local people to help themselves.

We are putting our lives on the line for these people so please give generously :)

For a taste of what we are expecting here is an extract from the lonely planet on Turkmenistan:

"Turkmenistan is by far the hottest of the Central Asian countries, although its dry desert climate and low humidity means that despite the soaring temperatures, it's not always uncomfortably warm. That said, only the insane or deeply unfortunate find themselves in Ashgabat in July and August, when the temperature can push 50°C (122°F)."

When are we there again? Oh yes, the beginning of August... insane or deeply unfortunate, you decide....
