To date, our team consists of  Mac Bagheri, Consuelo Fernandez, Mike Hellens, Greg Janetos, Omid Kamshad, Ulf Wissen and myself, Bruce Steinberg.

Type 1 diabetes is a chronic, life threatening condition which has a life-long impact on those diagnosed with it.  JDRF is the world's leading funder of type 1 diabetes reseach and the only charity dedicated solely to finding the cure.  Three years ago, Cara, our 9 year old daughter was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic and since then we have met many children who are bravely dealing with their condition as researchers around the world, many funded by JDRF, try to find better ways of managing the illness and hopefully a cure. There has been good progress to date, but JDRF needs our help to continue the work.
