My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We have set ourselves a challenge of completing the LONDON - PARIS Bike ride which starts on the 13th June 2012. Leaving Blackheath Common at 7am we will cycle through London, Kent and the North Downs to Dover where we will get a ferry to Calais. The following days will take us through Arras, Compiegne and into Paris ending down the Champes-Elysees to the Eiffel Tower. We will be cycling for 4 days and covering approximately 300 miles
With both of us (Claire & Dorro) working on the Children's Renal Unit at Nottingham Children's Hospital, we get to meet so many Children, Young people and Families who are inspirational!
Living with a long term Health condition such as Renal Failure is a challenge for any one, and the KINDER APPEAL is a fantastic charity which funds a variety of things from residential holidays, respite care, research as well as supporting activities that take place within the hospital.
All money raised will go to the KINDER APPEAL which is part for the Nottingham Children's Hospital Charity, to continue to support the fantastic work that it does.

Finally the time has come! We are off to London. Challenge starts tomorrow and we are both really excited! Not sure we will feel the same about getting back on the bike again Thursday morning.
Less than a week to go!!! excited and nervous! But we have done a 90 miler and a few 60s and did 43 last weekend. so we are as ready as we will ever be :) Thank you for all of your support!!
Thank you for all the support!!! Training is going really well, we did a 90 mile cycle from Nottingham to Tadcaster last weekend in the blistering heat so we both feel ready for London to Paris now. Although its gonna be tough getting back on the bike each day haha
I've been sponsored by REMIT for the challenge!!! New cycling jacket and lots of money pledged on my sponsor form from the complany and their employees. Thanks to my dad and evryone at REMIT! :0)
