British 10k Run- Combat Stress · 8 July 2012

The UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, we provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Story

Together 18 individuals are coming together to run as part of the British 10k Run, in London, on Sunday 8th July for a charity called Combat Stress.

Combat Stress provides a dedicated service for Veterans whose mental health condition is often complex and long term. This service is NOT routinely available in the NHS or elsewhere.

A number of Veterans leave the Armed Forces with a severe psychological wound such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). A symptom of PTSD is the frequent tendency to recall life-threatening incidents, which can lead to day and night terrors, mood swings, panic attacks and phobias.

This is our main sponsorship page, we also will be doing collections, bake sales, bingo nights, a car wash, selling merchandise and many other events to fundraise for our charity.

So please anything you can spare will be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone is interested in joining the team please get in contact with myself, Jade Golton. JGolton91@aol.com
