People affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments. Research is the only way to turn this hope into reality. Combining patient stories and scientific expertise, we fund projects that have a real impact, reducing side-effects, cutting treatment costs and ultimately improving outcomes.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page and donating to the Prostate Cancer Research Centre. Over 30,000 men are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer every year. In 2011 our dad was one of them.

Since his diagnosis our dad has been an inspiration, he has just got on with life and tried not to let this illness stop him from living his life the way he wants to.

The treatment and support our dad has received has been incredible. However the more research that can be carried out by the PCRC the better. They are striving towards finding more effective treatments and ultimately want to find a cure for this disease.

So this is why me, Beccy, Deb and Gerry are taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Snowdon. No doubt there will be blisters along the way and we are trying to convince Gerry that heels are not suitable footwear for this adventure but we will make it to the top no matter what!

We really appreciate any donations you can give towards the great work that the Prostate Cancer Research Centre carries out.
