As no.2 in European rail passenger transport (DB Bahn) and no.1 in European rail freight transport (DB Schenker), DBML is well aware of the plight of thousands of runaway and abandoned children who, at some point in their lives, end up at a railway station. DB Schenker Rail (UK) Limited is therefore pleased to be raising funds for this very worthwhile charity.
TeamDB is representing the Industrial Business Segment of DB Schenker and its members are Liz Godfrey, Lindsey Mills, Carl Gager and Roger Neary.
Training for the Three Peaks (Snowdon, Scafell Pike & Ben Nevis) is well underway and the team has twice completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks (a gruelling 26 mile walk taking in the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough in under 12 hours). TeamDB clocked a very respectable 8 hours 52 minutes at their first attempt, however heavy rain, deep bog, thick mist & hailstones hampered their second attempt and the team managed 9 hours 55 minutes (the mist resulted in a few wrong turns being taken on the top of Ingleborough and 30 minutes lost time as a result!).
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor TeamDB: The Railway Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor TeamDB now!
