Job Done!! Our team completed the challenge in 23hours and 4 minutes!
We all found it an extremely tough but enjoyable weekend, the climbing was obviously hard going, but the sleep deprevation wasnt too pleasent either!! But we had a great time, saw some breath taking views and achieved some personal goals whilst raising a couple of bob! Which brings us on to say a massive, massive thanks to everyone who has given...whilst we cant thank everyone individually, we are genuinely thrilled by your support, and as the guys from the charity said at the weekend "this money will save a life" !

Consists of 6 mates who come originally from the Dunmow area, but have now spread out a bit. We decided collectively to get off our arse's (and out of the pub - which is a tough choice), and do something for charity, and challenge ourselves whilst doing it. Well, theres not much more challenging than the 3 peaks 24hour (see below). We hope you will support us, and help us to hit our target of £5k for a Leukemia charity that helps give the gift of life to little kids and upwards...whatever you give, we really appreciate it, and make sure you leave us a message! Three Peaks 24hr Challenge.
The 3 Peaks challenge is to climb, and travel between, the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. This is to be completed over a continuous 24 hour period.
The Three Peaks are:
Ben Nevis - Scotland: 1344 metres
Scafell Pike - England: 978 metres
Snowdon - Wales: 1085 metres
The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10,000 feet, and the distance to be covered between the mountains is some 450 miles, all with little (or no) sleep!! Easy eh?!
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks from

Here is a little information about the Anthony Nolan Trust and what they are about.
They connect one person, whose immune system needs a boost – with another person, who is prepared to share a little of theirs. Matching patients with donors. Tissue typing each donor cost £125.
Of course, the detail is more complicated.
"There are no words to thank the women who did this for us - she gave the gift of life" Mother of 3 year old Jordan, saved by a transplant
In the case of leukaemia, intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy are used to eradicate the disease. The intensity of these treatments, known as conditioning, has the negative effect of severely weakening the patient’s immune system. The transplant provides the patient’s body with healthy cells capable of regenerating the immune system.
A critical factor in the success of a transplant is the accuracy of the match between the patient’s cell tissue and the donor’s. Timing is also critical: once a patient has chosen to proceed with a transplant, the donor’s tissue – in the form of bone marrow or peripheral blood stem cells – must be available as soon as the conditioning treatment has finished.
Basically amoung other things they find manage and look after potential bone marrow donors.
Once again, can we ask you to dig as deep as possible to help this amazing cause we have a target of £5000 but would like to raise more if we can so please please help and be as generous as you can!
The training has started and we are all desperate to complete the challenge in 24 hours!
