Story

Team Glasgow

Raising funds and awareness for Live Life Then Give Life

We (Jacqueline, Victoria and Kirsty) have all undergone life saving double lung transplants due to being in the end stages of the genetic lung disease Cystic Fibrosis.  Being placed on the transplant waiting list, we waited up to two years to receive that call and were given a 50% chance of surviving long enough.  Jacqueline received her transplant over 2 years ago at age 29, Kirsty received hers 8 months ago at age 27 and Victoria is only just home from hospital having her transplant 2 months ago, age 27.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have been given this gift of life and a second chance  - we now want to share this gift with those still waiting and have joined forces to become 'Team Glasgow' working as advocates to raise funds and awareness for the Live Life Then Give Life transplant charity.

Our first event together is a  Masquerade Ball for nearly 300 people, to be held on 29th October 2010 in the West end of Glasgow.  We have created this page to take donations from those people who cannot attend the ball but would still like to support us in some way.

Any donations, no matter how small, would be gladly received and will be added to our final total on the big night!

Thank you from,

Jacqueline, Victoria and Kirsty
