We help the babies, children and young people treated at Scotland's largest children's hospital, the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. We fund medical equipment, research, play programmes and family support services to ensure that our young patients receive the best possible care and experience.

Story

TEAM HARRIS Craig Cameron, Gary Henderson, Steve Cruickshank & Scott Cruickshank have come together to help raise funds for Yorkhill Children's Charity – the reason we have chosen this charity in particular is because Craig, one of the team members, has a child that receives treatment at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow.

Craig and Jill's son, Harris, was born in April 2013 with a very rare genetic disorder called Pfeiffer syndrome which affects 1 in 100,000. The bones in his skull had prematurely fused while in the womb, this was something that wasn’t and couldn’t be detected during pregnancy, he also has some other issues including hearing and sight impairment. His condition can only be treated by the specialist teams at Yorkhill and he was referred in May 2013. He has also been treated for hydrocephalus in October '13. As well as that he has undergone other surgeries at RHSC since May last year. They still have quite a journey ahead of them with Harris having more operations over the coming months/years.

WE NEED YOUR HELP to raise as much money as possible. Whatever amount you can donate to sponsor TEAM HARRIS will be gratefully received. So many children and their families like Harris, Jill and Craig, will benefit from the money raised through this event and many more.

The Ben Nevis Charity Challenge is an exciting new team challenge set in the stunning Scottish Highlands.

Our team of four are challenged to climb Ben Nevis (1,343m) the UK’s highest mountain, cycle 25 miles through stunning Highland landscapes and canoe a 3km course on Loch Lochy. Starting at Claggan Park in Fort William we will trek to the summit of Ben Nevis. Following the mountain descent we will start the second leg of the challenge, which is a 15 mile cycle to Loch Lochy. The third leg of the challenge is a 3km canoe circuit on the stunning Loch Lochy and the final stage of the challenge is a 10 mile cycle back to the finish line at Claggan Park in Fort William.
