We did it ! All 37 of us  crossed the finish line in the biggest Team Hornsey ever !

You might well ask - why did we run through central London on a sunny / wet summer Sunday? Our fitness is important ! But our real inspiration is to raise funds for The Hornsey Trust. The charity runs the only specialist centre and school in the London region for children with cerebral palsy. The good news is that it is not too late to support our efforts!

Running is quite easy for most of us. For children here, it takes every ounce of their concentration, plus lots of encouragement from staff, just to learn to stand up on their own. And many children can only do this with support.    

Our aim was just to cross the finish line - although some of us did have a target time ! But we were not under pressure to reach the target amount of money because we know that every pound we raise will make a real, lasting difference.

Here are a few examples of what your sponsorship will help our charity buy: £5: two-handed cup or picture book, £20: one parent and child session, £50: a home visit or switch access computer game, £100: a ladder back chair or new reading scheme.
