RUHX (formerly The Forever Friends Appeal) is the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath. We’re here to make our place healthier, happier and stronger for the future. And we do that by supporting the extra extraordinary work that leads to exceptional care for everyone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our page.

On March 6th, five members of the IDO Group at the School of Management (University of Bath) will take to the streets, along with 15,000 others in the 30th Anniversary of the Bath Half Marathon.  We are running for the Royal United Hospital - Forever Friends Appeal which raises funds for state-of-the-art medical equipment and facilities.

Baris and his wife Zeynep (both lecturers in the School of Management), recently had a son, Tutku, who was born at 28 weeks weighing 925 grams. Tutku stayed in the RUH’s NICU ward for 3.5 months, where he received excellent care. The ward staff are a beautiful group of people who daily change the world for the better. NICU is trying to grow to give better care to sick and premature babies, and they need more support. We are running to raise funds for the NICU 'space to grow' Campaign - a new unit at the RUH and a cause close to our hearts.

We appreciate any support you can offer us in raising money for this great cause. So please dig deep and donate now.

Many thanks,

Baris, Mike, Alistair, Brian and Sinéad
